This talk introduces Slint, a Rust-based GUI framework designed for developing native applications across desktop and embedded systems, including bare metal MCUs. We’ll start with a brief overview of Slint and highlighting its key features. We’ll then dive into a live coding session where we’ll develop a simple application using Slint. This hands-on demonstration will show how Slint enables the creation of applications that can run seamlessly across various platforms with minimal adjustments, showcasing the framework’s versatility and efficiency. By the end of this session, attendees will gain a practical understanding of Slint’s capabilities and how it can be utilized to streamline the development process for GUI applications in Rust.
